  • Name Mary Bach
    • The source of Mary's name is a letter written by W. J. (William Jefferson) Tapp of Powder Springs Georgia to Frank Tapp of Henderson Kentucky 28 Sep 1907. In that letter W. J. Tapp gives the identity of his great grandmother as "Mary BACH, a German girl." The wording in the letter was used in the book Genealogy of the Cloyd, Basye and Tapp Families in America by Augustus David Cloyd 1912 except he mistakenly gave her identity as "Mary BOCH, a German girl" and the mistake has been copied by others.
