    • Viola Brown Back, 87, of Jackson, Ky., passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2001 at the Middle Ky. River Medical Center following a short illness. The daughter of the late Smith and Parrot Bays Brown, the widowed wife of L.D. Back, Jr., and a member of the United Baptist Church.
      Survivors include one daughter; Cleda Mae Childers, North Judson, IN.;
      seven sons: Freeman and wife Barbara Back, Jackson, KY., Ray Douglas and wife Maxine Back, North Fairfield, OH, Steven Lee and wife Vera Back, Salyersville, KY., Chalmer and wife Kathy Back, Rogers, Arkansas, Roy Gene Back, North Fairfield, OH, Russel Pearl Back, Jackson, KY., Clyde Kenneth Back, Jackson, KY.;
      two sisters: Goldie Cole, Knox, IN., Pearlie Holbrook, Rousseau, KY;
      one brother: Jesse Brown, Keck, Ky.; 22 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren and 10 great great granchildren.
      Funeral services were conducted Friday, December 14, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at the Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hobart and Betty Dunn and Rev. Johnny Ritchie officiating. Burial followed in the Jackson Cemetery with the Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
