Transcription of John Huffman's Bible1724 Land Grant recorded in Stafford County
Land was on Licking Run in what later became Fauquier County. The three men named in the grant were the three who had been naturalized so they could acquire land for the rest of the first colony of Germans in the area.
Land grant 22 August 1724.
Location: Stafford County (Prince William County form 1731, Fauquier County formed 1759)
Grantee(s): Fischback, John; Hoffman, John and Holtzclaw, Jacob.
Description: 1805 acres 108 perches.

Notes - 1733 will of John Huffman's father-in-law Henry Haeger proves John Huffman was in Prince William (Fauquier) Virginia at the time of the signing of the will. He already owned considerable property in the area along the Robinson River in what later became Madison County Virginia.
